Accidents at work - who can claim?

By law, every person has the right to have their health and safety protected by their employer while they are at work. It is also a legal requirement for every employer to have a policy on how they are going to protect their staff’s health and safety.
Further, employers must make sure their staff are provided with adequate training and equipment to ensure they are kept reasonably safe at work.
If an employer fails to comply with its health and safety policy, or the policy is inadequate, and someone is injured in the course of their employment, they may be liable to pay damages to that injured person.

How can we help?

If your employer fails in its duty to protect you, you should not worry about bringing them to account and ensuring you are fairly compensated if you are injured whilst carrying out your duties as their employee.
If you have sustained injuries in the course of your job, we strongly recommend you contact one of our solicitors to discuss whether you are eligible to bring an accident at work claim for damages.
