| Leaving a gift to charity

You may be considering leaving a gift to charity in your will.

How do I leave a gift to charity in my will?

The simplest way is to leave a sum of money. Alternatively, you could leave a specific item or items to your chosen cause. Or you might choose to leave the residue to charity. The residue is everything which is left of the estate after all the legacies, liabilities, expenses, tax and funeral expenses have been paid.

You may be able to avoid or reduce Inheritance Tax by giving some or all of your estate to charity.

How can we help?

When reviewing or writing a will, our solicitors will ensure that each client is given bespoke advice, tailored to their needs. Therefore, if you are considering leaving a charitable gift in your will, we will offer you the advice you need. Where possible we like to meet our clients face to face (either at one of our offices or at your home if you prefer). Alternatively, we can conduct meetings via Skype.

At Levi Solicitors we have been writing wills and advising clients on charitable giving for many years. We also work closely with several charitable organisations and local hospices.

We are proud to offer transparent and fair pricing, and always offer a fixed fee for our will writing services.
