Alka graduated with a law degree at Leeds University and went on to qualify as a Fellow of CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives).

Alka has recently joined the litigation team and deals with general civil and commercial disputed litigation matters.

Alka has significant experience in banking/mortgage litigation, having acted for banks and building societies on a broad range of contentious matters, particularly in relation to complex defended mortgage repossession cases, as well as other mortgage related disputes. These include matters relating to High Court enforcement action, evictions, professional negligence against solicitors and surveyors, Land Registry issues and undue influence.

Alka has a passion for travel and has also been involved in many interesting projects as a volunteer whilst being abroad. These include teaching MBA students as well as young children in South India; working at a wildlife ranch in South Africa and volunteering with a disaster relief organisation in Japan following the Tsunami.

She is also fluent in Gujarati and Hindi.
