| Wakefield Wills and Probate Solicitors

We know how difficult it is to think about what might happen if we (or a loved one) is ill, injured or dies. Our specialist wills and probate team can advise you on the best ways to protect your loved ones in the future. Whether by making a will or Lasting Power of Attorney, advising you on potential Inheritance Tax liability, or looking at ways to protect your assets against future care home fees.

Our team also deal with probate and the administration of estates after someone dies.

We explain some of the services we offer below. For more detail, please see the menu to the left.

Making a will is a simple way to give yourself peace of mind about your loved ones after your death. In your will you can set out who you wish to inherit your money and belongings (known as your ‘estate’) and who should deal with your estate (‘executors’). You can also set out other wishes for after you are gone – for example, whether money should be held on trust for any children; who should take care of your children; care for your pets or gifts to charity.

Making a will with Levi Solicitors LLP is straightforward. Our team have many years of experience in preparing wills. In most cases, we can deal with the whole process virtually; having meetings over the telephone or by video call. Alternatively, you can make an appointment to see us in our Wakefield office just off the M1.

We charge a fixed fee for our standard wills, and details of our fees can be found on our wills pricing page.

We also offer a free will review service. If you have made a will previously but things have changed (for example, marriage, divorce, children, work), it may be worth us reviewing your will to see if you need to update it.

Lasting Powers of Attorney

Have you considered what might happen if you were to become ill or injured in the future? Making a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) can give you peace of mind that you have something in place should that happen.

An LPA gives your nominated people (your attorneys) the power to make decisions about your finances and / or health and welfare if you are ill or injured.

We charge fixed fees for making an LPA, details of which can be found on our LPA pricing page. We also offer a discount off your fees if you make an LPA and a will together.

Administration of Estates / Probate

Losing a loved one is such a difficult time, even without having to deal with the practicalities of dealing with the estate. Our probate solicitors will advise and act for you sensitively and promptly, working to ease the burden on you.

Dealing with an estate is known as ‘administration’. This includes everything from obtaining a Grant of Probate, to collecting in assets, dealing with Inheritance Tax, and distributing the assets in accordance with the will.

At Levi Solicitors LLP, we understand that no two estates or families are the same. That’s why we will give you as much advice and assistance as you need. We set out the fixed fees for our services in our probate pricing page. However, if you are looking for a combination of services that are not set out on our pricing page, just contact us and we will put together a quote for you.
