Trainee Solicitor, Connor King and his sister-in-law, Abi, ran a half marathon in November for charity.
He took on the Conwy Half Marathon on 19 November, raising money to support research into Sudden Arrhythmic/Adult Death Syndrome UK (SADS UK). Fundraising for this charity will help towards further research and medical provisions to help prevent further premature sudden cardiac deaths.
Connor said: “My sister-in-law and I are running a half marathon in November in memory of her 20-year-old cousin who passed away on Christmas Day last year. His cause of death was Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome.
Neither of us have ever completed a distance further than 10K before so this is going to be a mental and physical challenge for us both…but it’s worth it if we can raise funds for the charity and help make a small difference.”
Connor completed the half marathon in some inclement conditions, in a great time of 2 hours and 3 minutes. He and Abi smashed their fundraising target, and to date have raised £1,500! Congratulations Connor!
