On 21 March 2016 there was yet another increase in Court fees, among which were fees relating to starting proceedings for recovery of land in the County Court which have risen from £280 to £355.
This comes after the controversial hike in Court fees that took place in April 2015. This relentless increase in Court fees will no doubt have a serious impact on access to justice with many potential claimants being unable to commence proceedings.
The prevalent fee changes are summarised as follows:

Type of fee Increase
Possession claims in County Court Increase from £280 to £355(£250 to £325 for online claims)
General application by consent in civil proceedings Increase from £50 to £100
