Levi Solicitors celebrated its 90th anniversary this October with a charity coffee morning and cake sale in the firm’s north Leeds office.
Raising money for local charity, St Gemma’s Hospice, we invited clients, local businesses and residents to join us for coffee and cake baked by Practice Manager (and part-time baker) Janet. Delighted by the turnout, and everyone’s generosity in donations, our Senior Partner, Ian Land said,
“We are so proud to be celebrating 90 years in business. The people of north Leeds have supported us for so long, we knew we needed to invite them to join our celebrations. We were pleased to see so many people turn out to support us and to help raise money for a cause close to many of our hearts.”
As part of our year-long celebrations, we have supported St Gemma’s along with two other Leeds-based charities, Homeless Street Angels and Yorkshire Children’s Charity.
Operations Manager, Alex Newman said,
“We believe that, as a Leeds firm, it is vital that we give back to our community. As part of our 90th year celebrations, we have committed to raising money for three local charities, chosen by our team. Our CSR team have arranged many activities from cake sales to Easter egg collections and football tournaments. And in September our team walked 90 miles to raise money for our charities.”

We’re invested in our team’s wellbeing, with a particular focus on improving their work/life balance. Alex said, “we’re increasing flexibility and expanding our teams to ensure we continue to provide an exceptional service to our valued clients, while allowing our current team the space to breathe.”
We are especially proud of our staff retention record. Many of our team have been with the firm for over 10 years, and almost 40% of our solicitors trained with us. Indeed, Ian Land himself started with the firm in 1987.
