At Levi Solicitors, our people are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to have signed up to the West Yorkshire Fair Work Charter. A regional initiative designed to help employers create fairer, more inclusive and supportive workplaces.

The Charter is built around five key principles: opportunity, fulfilment, wellbeing, security and employee voice.

Building on our commitment to our people

Joining the Charter reflects our ongoing commitment to creating an environment where colleagues feel valued, supported and able to thrive, both professionally and personally.

As a firm, we’re always looking for ways to improve the wellbeing and happiness of our team. While many of the Charter’s principles are already embedded in our culture, becoming a member gives us access to additional resources, training and opportunities to learn from other organisations across the region. It also helps us continue to challenge ourselves to be the best employer we can be.

Why fair work matters

Practice Manager, Janet Babington, said:

“I think that for me, it is about recognising that our people are our greatest asset. By committing to the principles of fair work, wellbeing, and listening to our employees we can continue to build a positive workplace culture where staff feel valued, supported and empowered to thrive.

I know that investing in our teams helps improve wellbeing, engagement and retention, and this leads to us being able to strengthen the services we provide to our clients.”

We know that, as well as being the right thing to do, supporting our people helps us deliver the high standard of service our clients expect.

Supporting wellbeing and development

Supporting our people has long been a priority at Levi Solicitors. We have trained Mental Health First Aiders, offer a range of wellbeing initiatives and support flexible working arrangements where possible.

We are also proud of the loyalty and commitment of our team, with a quarter of our employees having worked at the firm for 10 years or more. Their knowledge, experience and dedication play an important role in helping us maintain the supportive culture we have built.

Recognition for our workplace culture

Our commitment to workplace wellbeing and inclusion is reflected in a number of recognised accreditations and partnerships.

We are proud to hold the Lexcel accreditation, and to be recognised an Age Friendly Employer. We are also a Mindful Employer, and were honoured to be named Leeds Mindful Employer Network’s Mindful Employer of the Quarter in December 2025.

These achievements are important, but they are only part of the story. What matters most is creating a workplace where people feel respected, listened to and able to develop their careers. We know that when our colleagues are supported, our clients benefit too.

Looking ahead

By signing up to the West Yorkshire Fair Work Charter, we are reaffirming our commitment to continuous improvement and to building a workplace culture that attracts, develops and retains great people.

If you’re looking to join a firm that values wellbeing, professional development and employee voice, we’d love to hear from you. Find out more about careers at Levi Solicitors by visiting our Careers page.
