As part of our 90th anniversary fundraising, 25 of our team took part in a 90-mile charity walking challenge.
Throughout September, we walked, ran, swam and cycled for 90 miles. We had people walking on holiday in Dubai, Tenerife and Crete, and on city breaks to Paris, Porto and Palma! But most of our miles were around our own homes. Some people recruited their families to help – chasing children on scooters and running up hills! Others took their dogs on extra walks. Zoreen and Sasha even got some extra miles in while volunteering with Homeless Street Angels for an evening.
While they certainly enjoyed the late summer sunshine and fresh air, the team were taking part to raise money for our chosen charities of the year:
The charity walk has formed part of our ongoing commitment to our charities, and we have raised an incredible £1,770 between the charities this year so far. Aided in part by a generous grant of £250 from the Conveyancing Foundation.
Our fundraising page is still open if you would like to support our team.
Our next fundraising opportunity will be a coffee morning and cake sale for St. Gemma’s Hospice. It will be at our Moortown office on Wednesday 16 October. Pop in between 10am and 2pm for coffee, cake and a chat. St. Gemma’s Hospice will be there too to tell us about the incredible work they do in Leeds.
