Some of our colleagues have had a great time as volunteer gardeners at St Gemma’s Hospice this week. Thank you to Sinéad Sopala, Lisa Stockdale and trainee solicitors, Lakhjinder Singh Uppal and Abigail Watson for using their volunteer day helping the gardens look great!
St. Gemma’s Hospice provides expert care and support for people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. The hospice and the gardens are in north Leeds, just down the road from our Moortown office.
We asked Lisa what she thought about her time volunteering, and she said:
“I had a great day…thoroughly enjoyed it. The gardens are beautiful and very zen. You can see the love and care that goes into maintaining them and how very important they are in people’s lives. So get volunteering – the weather may be unpredictable but what’s a few raindrops when you can put smiles on faces! #TeamLevi once again showing whatever the weather teamwork makes the dream work #VolunteersMakeADifference.”
Charlotte Hegarty, Volunteer Coordinator at St. Gemma’s Hospice commented:
“It was lovely to have some of the team at Levi Solicitors using their volunteering day to help out in our gardens today, facing some very changeable weather. Keeping our gardens in tip-top condition is a huge team effort, and we’re so grateful for your time and support!”
