On 11 December 2016, seven runners from Levi Solicitors LLP’s Leeds offices donned their Santa suits for St Gemma’s Hospice. The Levi Santas joined around 950 other Father Christmases for the annual 5km Santa Dash around Leeds city centre, raising over £1000 for the hospice.
Managing Partner, Steven Newdall, joined in the festivities and said:
“St Gemma’s Hospice do incredible work supporting those with terminal illness, and we at Levi are proud to support them throughout the year as our chosen charity. The Santa Dash was a fun opportunity for us to show our appreciation for the work that they do, and raise some much needed money.”
The Santa Dash forms part of Levi’s December fundraising efforts, which will also include a raffle and donning their Christmas jumpers as part of St Gemma’s annual Wear It Festive event on 16 December 2016.
Jenny Dixon, Senior Corporate Fundraiser at St Gemma’s said:
“We’re very grateful to everyone at Levi Solicitors for their support over the festive season from wearing their Christmas jumpers for our Wear It Festive campaign to dashing through the streets of Leeds at our sponsored Santa Dash the money that they have raised will contribute to our outstanding patient care over the festive season.  It costs £25,000 each and every day to run all of the services provided completely free of charge to our patients and their families.  We couldn’t do this without the support of the local community and businesses such as Levi Solicitors.”
